In 2017 and 2018, Our Support Programme for Solidarity Educational Institutions "Service-Learning in the Arts" supported 15 schools and Higher Education Institutions in Argentina, offering training to educators, school authorities, CSO leaders and civil servants working in education, and students involved in service-learning and arts education projects.
One of the main purposes during the first year of the programme Programme was to build evidence and experience on how to promote service-learning as part of Arts Education in the formal educational system; CLAYSS has worked closely with Argentine educational institutions that develop service-learning in the arts projects, and we have witnessed the social impact they provide, improving their communities.
With this experience as a basis, the second year begins in 2019, intending to continue to support eight institutions in Argentina and expand the actions of the Programme to Latin America. For the first time in the history of CLAYSS, two institutions in Limeira, Brazil, and one in Tolima, Colombia, carry out a School Support Programme.
